Tanaka Ikko

I really like Tanaka Ikko's technique of making everything in the image to look symmetric but then he has broke the symmetry up just by flipping the bottom triangle and his use of colour. I think Ikko's work sits really nicely on the page. I like his use of space and how he leaves his images to breathe rather than overcrowding them. His use of pattern and silhouettes, even though they are simple communicate quite strongly what the images are about. Another thing that interests me about Tanaka's work is the Japanese culture.
